The Angel Breaks Foundation was founded in February of 2008 by Marnie Oursler, a custom home builder in Bethany Beach, Delaware. After teaming up with best friend, Andrea Wilds, a nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the groundwork of Angel Breaks was formed. Andrea works in conjunction with pediatricians, doctors, and advisors in the Washington, DC / Baltimore area at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Childrens Hospital to locate families that Angel Breaks can help. Marnie focuses on the resort and property management division of the organization to find homes and volunteers during vacation months. Together they form an unbreakable bond for Angel Breaks, a 100% non-profit organization.

Our Approach to Making a Difference

• Helping lift the strain for the entire family and establishing relationships with families in need of a week of fun and laughter
• Providing vacation homes in various resort areas, such as Bethany Beach, Delaware; Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; Ocean City, Maryland; and Hidden Valley, Pennsylvania
• Working with medical facilities, doctors, nurses and advisors in locating families, and helping by providing resources to families in need of a vacation.
• Teaming up with various companies in the resort areas to provide coupons, novelties, and local treats to families to welcome them to the town
• Assembling "Angel Totes" filled with beach supplies, area maps, and goodies upon arrival to their vacation home
• Creating photo albums for the families to treasure their experience
• Selling t-shirts and other Angel Breaks Gear throughout the resort towns to benefit the Angel Breaks Foundation, generate local support, and unite the community
• Organizing fundraisers and events to further develop community involvement, and to promote local businesses
